Shan moved from Sri Lanka to Australia 9 years ago to study commercial cookery in Brisbane. Shan has always been passionate about cooking and the wonderful feeling that comes with it.
Shan gained a vast understanding of modern Australian cuisine after working as a trainee chef and catering for functions of up to 2,000 people. Once he became qualified, Shan worked in central New South Wales to experience the Australian countryside and discover growing local produce.
Since moving back to Brisbane, Shan has been working as a chef in various aged care and retirement communities. Shan now enjoys working as Chef Manager at Aveo Cleveland and Aveo Cleveland Gardens.
