Leading retirement provider Aveo Group is set to release stage three of its $220 million Newcastle community ahead of schedule, as strong sales and demand for its off-the-plan villas continues with seniors seeking city conveniences and coastal lifestyle in retirement.
Research by Aveo Group found that almost one in ten (8.6%) seniors are seeking inner-city living in retirement, whilst one in six (13.2%) dream of a coastal sea change. With Newcastle providing a unique amalgamation of the two lifestyles, it’s no surprise that the region’s senior population has risen to more than a third.
To meet this unprecedented demand, Aveo Newcastle’s third stage will see a further 37 independent living villas delivered to the premier retirement community, with many boasting a premium outlook, elevated position, and expansive views of the Shortland Waters Golf Course and waterways.
Each villa will deliver spacious, open plan living, two bedrooms, and outdoor terraces or a generously sized backyard to accommodate pets. To allow residents to enjoy the retirement lifestyle of their choosing, each villa will have its own golf buggy park, along with access to a 50-metre indoor heated pool located at the Forum, not far from residents’ front doors.
Aveo Community Manager, Michael Baxter said he anticipated stage three of the Aveo Newcastle development to match, if not exceed, the success of the second stage.
“After the incredible demand for our second stage release and the continued growth of the Newcastle region, we are excited to release stage three of Aveo Newcastle which will provide the best in location and lifestyle for retirees,” Mr Baxter said.
“We’re already seeing unprecedented demand for stage three, with the waiting list quickly filling up with potential residents eager to secure their preferred villa.
“Equally as important as location and lifestyle for seniors looking for retirement options, these villas have been designed to provide peace of mind that residents can age in place, with no stairs, wider doorways and spacious kitchen and bathroom areas.
“This community delivers seniors with premier retirement living options which we expect to sell fast, as many of the villas boast a prime position, whilst being close to community amenities, stunning walking tracks and many featuring uninterrupted views of the nearby golf course and lake.” Mr Baxter said.
Stage three of Aveo Newcastle is set for release to the public on March 30, 2020 with the first display apartments open to the public for exclusive tours on appointment from this date. Completion of stage three is expected in June 2020.
Once complete, the $220 million retirement community will feature 300 independent living villas.
The community is located on 33 Shearwater Drive, Shortland NSW 2307 in Shortland Waters, just 11 kilometres from Newcastle’s CBD.
