Leading retirement provider Aveo Group hails the successful release of stage two of its Newcastle retirement community, with more than half of the 45 villas in the ‘Ridgeline’ stage release already under contract as the $24 million development nears its May 2019 completion date.
Following the successful release of 50 villas in stage one of the development, which sold out quickly in 2018, Aveo has fast-tracked stage two to meet the high-demand for Newcastle’s premier retirement community, which boasts world-class retirement living amenities situated alongside the desirable Club Shortland Golf Course.
Stage two’s 45 independent living villas have prices starting from $409,000. The villas offer a range of open-floor plan designs with two bedrooms and two bathrooms while some include a separate study space. There is also a mix of single or double garages and golf buggy parking bays.
The ‘Ridgeline’ stage release signifies a significant step in Aveo’s six-year Newcastle project. Once complete, the $220 million Aveo Newcastle development will ultimately consist of 275 independent villas and residential high care facilities providing residents with the peace of mind that they can ‘age in place’ and access higher levels of care when they need it.
The contemporary and spacious design of the new villas adds to Aveo’s first-class community amenities, which includes a state-of-the-art health and wellness centre, beauty salon, and convenient access to Club Shortland Clubhouse restaurant and bar. Residents also receive complimentary membership to the local Forum swimming pool.
Aveo Group CEO, Geoff Grady, said that the already sought-after ‘Ridgeline’ villas have been designed incorporating feedback from current residents.
“Maintaining a sense of community at Aveo Newcastle is incredibly important, so we asked for feedback from our 79 existing residents to ensure that the needs and desires of today’s retiree were reflected within the new stage development and the community,” Mr Grady said.
“Aveo Group is always looking to the future of retirement living and we have invested significantly in the Newcastle community to ensure we provide residents with everything they need to realise their retirement journey – including our allied health and care support and our unrivalled lifestyle amenities and services.”
Many of the new ‘Ridgeline’ villas will also enjoy uninterrupted views overlooking the waterways and rolling greens of the golf course.
“The completion of the adjacent clubhouse, and the new Lorna Street golf holes has started a new era in the club’s history providing a challenging championship course for those that enjoy a game of golf,” Mr Grady said.
Stage two is expected for completion in May 2019, however four display villas are currently open to the public for viewing.
Aveo Newcastle will hold an open day on February 24 in partnership with Club Shortland to celebrate the initial release of ‘Ridgeline’. Residents, family and friends, prospective residents and the local community are invited to view the lifestyle that Aveo Newcastle and the Club Shortland has to offer.
