Resident teaches Tai Chi at Freedom Bendigo

Tai Chi has become quite popular at Freedom Bendigo thanks to Ken, a community resident and Tai Chi teacher.

Ken began practicing Tai Chi many years ago to help children with balance and breathing in junior sports.

He's now brought his passion for the art to his community, where he has begun to teach a regular group of residents every week in the community gardens.

"I found some parts of Tai Chi very helpful for our older seniors. I've been helping both men and women with their balance and breathing, and some leg and upper body movements with some support."

The group has now grown to almost 20 residents, with many commenting on the benefits they are feeling from participating. Ken also encourages residents to get up in the mornings and do some exercises in their rooms.

Keep up the great work Ken!
