130 residents, family and guests of Aveo The Domain Country Club took a trip down memory lane last week at a charity fundraiser high tea.
The event was a fun opportunity for residents to reminisce and share memories of their wedding day with their children and fellow residents.
Hosted by the community staff, decades of wedding gowns were modelled from 1957 through to 1999. Wedding albums were also on display, dating back to the 1940’s that shed light on residents' bridal dresses of the past.
Aveo resident Val Nicholls' daughter, Meredith, was one of many who paraded her mother’s 1957 wedding dress with pride.
Guests also enjoyed celebrating the 71st wedding anniversary of residents Phyllis and Frank Thomas.
All proceeds of the event were donated to Aveo’s charity of choice, Project Pink, to help find a cure for breast cancer.
