Melbourne Cup Luncheon at Aveo Leisure Court

Aveo Leisure Court residents welcomed back the Melbourne Cup Luncheon to the village after a break for a few years. The event was attended by around 23 residents and 4 resident friends or family.

Guests arrived to a welcome by the village manager and glass of bubbly, a few guests were asked for ID to verify their age – with typical excuses that they had left it home!

Resident Kay Morgan, is to be complimented for her great table settings, Kay together with Frank Bevan (Chair of the Resident Committee), put together a fantastic meal for all to enjoy. Frank also extended invitations to staff, Christina, Mark and Joe to join the residents luncheon.

Whist it was the Melbourne Cup, the real winners on the day were the residents, great fun was had by all, the photo booth proved quite popular giving everyone something to really have a laugh about.

This was followed by some interesting antics by residents as a round of Pin the Tail on the Donkey was given a go, even the manager Joe, was railroaded into the shenanigans, as residents spun him around and around and around and leading him astray facing all sorts of directions.

The Melbourne Cup 2017 was definitely a memorable day at Aveo Leisure Court.
