Aveo Roseville recently celebrated their 30 year anniversary with a formal dinner party. Nearly 100 residents attended the night in suited formal attire, entering on the red carpet. Guests sat at designated tables, twinkling under electric candlelight and decorated by the Social Volunteer representatives. The area was beautifully highlighted with multiple stunning flower arrangements by residents Estelle & Ruth, purchased using funds donated from Manningham Uniting Church.
The night commenced with a performance by String Quartet to welcome the guests while staff voluntarily served champagne, dressed in white button-up shirts with black bow ties. Speeches and formalities included a welcome from Residents Chairperson John Mirams, a search for the most recent and longest residing occupant by manager Haley Randall, a ‘trip down memory lane’, history of the Roseville community from Aveo Territory Operations Manager Murray Wilson as well as delivery of a fabulous poem written by a resident capturing the vibrant inclusive and happy atmosphere that is Aveo Roseville.
After dessert, Deputy Chair of the Social Volunteer Group Barbara Sutherland gave a thank-you speech to all and opened up the Port Room and the dancefloor. The juke box played all night long and everyone had a wonderful time.
