Residents of the Aveo Botanic Gardens Men’s Shed have once again shown their generosity by producing wooden toys for the Salvation Army Christmas toy fund.
Over the last seven years, the Aveo Botanic Gardens Men’s Shed has built and donated over 200 toys per year for disadvantaged children in the local Cranbourne community.
Students from nearby St Peter’s College also got involved recently and, under the supervision of the residents, assisted in making 28 cots, complete with dolls, bedding and clothing made by the Aveo Botanic Gardens Ladies Craft Group.
Residents and students are looking forward to continuing their relationship this year and building more toys for those in need.
