On 9 December, Aveo officially opened the beautiful Corymbia Residences and the brand‑new pool pavilion. With 83 apartments (and 72 already purchased), Corymbia marks an exciting new chapter in Bella Vista Haven’s story. More neighbours, more friendships, and more chances to enjoy life in Bella Vista.
The event began with a heartfelt Welcome to Country by Uncle Graham Davis King, a Wiradjuri and Ngiyampaa artist who also led the Smoking Ceremony at the start of construction.
Guests heard from Aveo CEO Tony Randello, the Hills Shire Council Mayor, Dr Michelle Byrne, and the Resident Committee President, Don Halliday.
Then it was time for the big moment: Helen Ostler and Kerri Anne Degruchy, our first residents to move into Corymbia, as well as Deputy Mayor Councillor Frank De Masi, joined our special guests to cut the ribbon and officially welcome Bella Vista Haven’s newest residents to their new home.
The celebrations were complete with an impressive champagne tower and a delicious spread by Kallico Catering.
As well as Corymbia Residences, it was wonderful to see the heated indoor pool, infrared saunas, BBQ area, library and cinema ready to enjoy.
Thank you to the residents of Bella Vista Haven for your willingness to work with us during construction. And thank you to the Aveo team who have been part of the project - your passion and care to create new community spaces and help residents move into their new homes have been incredible to see. We’re also very grateful to the talented partners who designed and delivered the new apartments and spaces.
