Aveo undertakes national campaigns to build awareness and consideration of retirement villages as an option for retirees, as well as drive enquiry to our website or the National Customer Contact Centre for them to direct people to an Aveo community that suits their needs.

The campaigns for the fourth quarter of 2025:

Open Home

Open Home

28th September to 18th October

This campaign is focused on inviting people to explore an Aveo retirement community near them by attending one of the open home events. The events provide people an opportunity to tour a community and a selection of units/apartments available within a friendly group environment. Research shows us that many retirees want to avoid the heavy sales environment until they are confident they want to know more. The properties that are available for inspection at each open home are chosen to reflect a range and are limited to a few to enable people to enjoy the tour. The follow up activity from these events is to aim to secure a sales appointment for a tour tailored to the individual’s needs. 

This is a multi-channel campaign across television, radio, press, letterbox drops, online.

The website holds content relevant to the search enquiries of retirees who are considering downsizing. 

Each Aveo retirement community has a mini-website within this site that provides the specific information about the community as well as listings of what is currently available for sale. The number of listings per community depends on the stock availability at the time, however the aim is to showcase a range of styles and prices to appeal to different needs and budgets. The objective is to encourage enquiry, we can then work with the individual to understand their needs and take them on a tour of the homes that are suitable for them without overwhelming them with the full range of options. The listings on the website are updated and rotated regularly.

National Customer Contact Centre

Aveo’s Contact Centre is a team of customer service and sales agents available 5 days a week, 8am to 5pm to take calls and respond to web chat, web enquiries and social media enquiries. They are able to answer general questions about retirement villages and how they work, as well as have a qualification conversation to register each lead to a particular community or communities. A key objective of this team is to encourage the customer to book an appointment with a sales agent at a community or communities that would suit their needs.

The Aveo Contact Centre is also responsible for the follow up of general leads that are not yet allocated to a particular retirement community.

Digital Marketing

Digital marketing continues to grow in importance for reaching the retiree market. Aveo activates a range of digital marketing activity throughout the year to generate leads for Aveo and individual communities.

  1. Search

    Google Ads and Bing Ads – paid advertising on Google and Microsoft to ensure Aveo communities show up when people search for retirement communities. 
     

  2. Social media

    Facebook – we provide regular updates on the Aveo Facebook page to encourage engagement with the brand and showcase community life.
    Facebook and Instagram advertising – promoting Aveo communities and listed properties to people over 65 within the geographic catchment of an Aveo retirement community.
     

  3. Search Engine Optimisation

    Reviewing the search terms people use to search downsizing and retirement living topics to ensure our website is optimised to appear in the organic search results across search engines such as Google and Bing. This also includes optimising Aveo community profiles on Google My Business and Bing Places For Business to increase online visibility of communities. Key information such as community contact details, address and opening hours is displayed here.
     

  4. Display (Banner advertising)

    Banner advertising appearing across a range of different websites, targeted to the 65 audience, as well as people that have visited the Aveo website.
     

  5. Digital Video Advertising

    Video advertising on YouTube and BVOD channels (Broadcast Video On Demand - traditional free-to-air TV available online) that is targeted to the 65+ audience as well as people that have visited the Aveo website.
     

  6. Villages.com.au and Downsizing.com.au

    Aveo has taken out banner advertising in key regions where our communities are located, across the two largest retirement living listing websites.

Events & Community Engagement

Aveo establishes connections with local community groups to build awareness of Aveo and the retirement community as well as encourage events and interactions between local group members and the community. The Club Connections program involves local groups bringing their members to a morning tea and tour of the community as a fundraising opportunity for the club. This increases the “word-of-mouth” in the local area and generates leads and sales over time.
