Aveo's response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

At Aveo, the health and safety of residents and staff in our Retirement Living & Care Communities remains our number one priority.

We closely monitor the Australian Government’s advice around COVID-19 and continue to take decisive and comprehensive steps in accordance with this advice to protect residents.

Aveo require all staff, contractors and service providers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have a valid medical exemption. We want to do all we can to provide a safe living and working environment for valued residents who call our communities home and our staff, which is why we have taken this step.

Vaccination is only one control measure employed in combating this pandemic, as well as ensuring appropriate environmental cleaning and sanitising practices across our communities it is key that everyone continues to practise COVIDSafe measures which includes:

  • Mandatory wearing of face masks across our communities, also subject to State Government directives. All staff are suitably trained on the correct protocols associated with wearing protective clothing effectively;
  • Maintaining good hand and respiratory hygiene and always practising physical distancing; and
  • Visitor and staff QR Code registration across all our communities and offices.

Aveo operate a COVID-19 Hotline, staffed by registered nurses, for residents and staff to provide additional support, confidential advice, and to monitor COVID-19 outcomes.

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms below, we ask that you do not attend our communities and get tested.

  • Runny nose;
  • Headache;
  • Cough;
  • Shortness of breath and/or rapid breathing;
  • Sore throat; and
  • Fever


Visiting one of our communities?

To ensure the safety of the residents and staff in our communities, all visitors who attend our community events, open homes and inspections are to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination is required on registration.

We also advise that we may have to limit the number of external groups visiting for social activities and events at this time.
