Aveo Village Compliance Manager for Queensland South, Stephen Turner, recently completed the 100km cycle from Brisbane to the Gold Coast. Torrential rain and winds of over 25km/h couldn’t stop this champion from crossing the finish line! Stephen rode for almost 7 hours to raise much needed funds for Aveo’s charity of choice, Project Pink.
“What kept me going was knowing my supporters were waiting at the finish line, but more importantly the $2,500 donated to the PA Research Foundation with surely more to come.”
In 2016 Aveo formed a partnership with the PA Research Foundation, home of the discovery of the world’s first cancer vaccine to raise funds for life-changing medical research called Project Pink.
Over $3,000 has been raised which is a great achievement and well over Stephen’s goal of $2,500. Follow the link below to donate to this worthy cause – it isn’t too late.
Safe to say Stephen was sore but definitely not sorry. Congratulations to Stephen on his inspiring accomplishments and to everyone who participated in fundraising.
