Residents and staff at Aveo Cleveland have combined their efforts this year in support of Aveo’s charity of choice, Project Pink. Creating a ‘pink wonderland’, the community centre has been beautifully decorated with pink bras, ties, flowers, crocheted rugs and more.
A pink ‘waterfall of life’ greets residents and guests as they enter the community centre with over 150 ribbons hanging, one to represent every person that has, in some way, been touched by cancer.
Residents have already raised over $3,800 with donations, raffles and 3 Project Pink events so far this month. The first of the events saw residents auctioning their goods for sale with proceeds being donated to Project Pink.
Damien Topp, CEO of PA Research Foundation attended their pink morning tea to give residents an update on the research and fundraising for Project Pink. Residents also enjoyed a ‘Curry and Cocktail’ evening which family and friends were welcome to join.
Aveo Cleveland will be hosting more events this month to raise funds for Project Pink including an open day with market stalls, a BBQ breakfast and a Halloween party.
A great effort by all residents and staff at Aveo Cleveland for a great cause!
