The Opportunity

Forest Grove Retirement Living, located in Durack, is one of the largest retirement living communities in Queensland, nestled amongst 34 hectares of greenery and home to 700+ residents. As an adaptable and highly organised Administration Assistant, you will be working closely with residents, and various internal and external stakeholders to help ensure the smooth running of the community. You'll provide back-of-house and front-of-house administration support, have a customer-centred approach to your work and ability to connect with the residents. 

This is a permanent full-time position working Monday-Friday 8-4pm.

You will

  • Provide general administrative support including phone & email correspondence, filing and interacting with residents.   
  • Be a welcoming face for all new residents and be responsible for all resident entry and exit resident duties
  • Assist with filling in across all our administration desks including the main reception
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as residents, visitors, contractors and fellow company colleagues. 
  • Assisting with events & general activities that occur throughout our busy village
  • Complete general ad-hoc duties delegated to you by the Community Manager and provide vital support to them in their absence
  • Have a passion for building on resident satisfaction and engage with multiple stakeholders at once

What you will bring

  • Experience in a customer-facing Administration or Reception environment (such as Real Estate, Retirement Villages, Medical Centres or similar)
  • Intermediate computer skills and adaptability to learn new software programs (essential)
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate work and prioritise work to meet deadlines and commitments
  • Strong work ethic that enjoys a fast-paced environment
  • Current Police Check certificate (required, but we can complete for you!)
  • Two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
