Village Rivals Enjoy Friendly Competition At Aveo Peregian Springs Country Club

Over 35 bowlers attended the annual Bowls Day held at Aveo Peregian Springs Country Club. Our spirited resident bowlers hosted the event, which was held on May 20, and were joined by arch rival residents from Noosa Domain Village. Under the gentle, warm sun residents enjoyed a spot of friendly competition on the green, before showing off the impressive grounds.

Aveo Peregian Springs Country Club residents, Ray Larke and John Weeden, organised the event which was a huge success. The winners on the day were a team of residents from Aveo Peregian Springs – Fred Rose, John Weeden, Arnold Vandenhurk, and Peter Wright. The runners up were a team from Noosa Domain Village – Carol Jones, Judy Diggle, Kaye Smith and Jan Nichols.

A warm thank you to the many helpers who assisted Ray and John put the event together, catered for lunch and served refreshments throughout the day – Luke McCabe, Barbara Larke, Bronwyn West, Gloria Nunn and Ron Heather. Thank you also to PPS Gardening for the prize money donation and Village Management / Administration staff for providing the delicious morning tea.
