Aveo Hunters Green celebrated Seniors Week in style recently when they hosted a cooking demonstration with Aveo’s own Executive Chef, John Casey.
Using ingredients from the resident community garden, John wowed his audience with a delicious quinoa and salmon salad, as well as a healthy omelette.
As residents and guests enjoyed tasting the dishes cooked, John explained how important proper nutrition is in ageing well.
Following the cooking demonstration, residents and guest enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea, and some followed with a tour of the beautiful Hunters Green units.
All who attended had a marvellous time, and left with great nutrition advice and also got some tips and tricks for cooking simple and healthy food.
