Cocktails and canapés flowed, as residents, staff and guests celebrated Fernbank Retirement Village’s 30th anniversary in style.
Over 100 guests attended the cocktail party, which was prepared by Fernbank staff to celebrate the great sense of community and friendship in the village.
Operations General Manager Angela Buckley and Territory Operations Manager James Wiltshire joined the guests in their merriment, with Angela giving a speech to honour the village’s 30 year milestone.
Fernbank Chairperson Anne Deane also delivered a speech, as a delicious selection of gourmet canapés, prepared by Chef Manager Nick Hall and his catering team, circled the room.
When all had had their fill of the savoury finger food, a gorgeous multilayer chocolate gateau mud cake was cut by Rene Wolfson, who has been residing at Fernbank since 1988.
Village Managers Julie Bradley and Robyn Parry said “the night was highly enjoyed by all who attended; a fittingly joyous celebration”.
