All that the beautiful village of Aveo Roseville has to offer was on display at their Community Centre Open Day.
With huge array of activities, prizes and shows to enjoy, the attendees of the Open Day were spoiled for choice on what do to first!
With over 400 residents and guests in attendance, federal member the Hon. Kevin Andrews MP, Aveo’s Executive General Manager Angela Buckley and village managers Glynis and Greg Dybing were among great company.
Aveo’s Food Services Manager and Executive Chef, John Casey, and celebrity chef and author, Paul Mercurio inspired residents and guests with their master class on preparing easy to make meals.
In the Serviced Apartments building, those enjoying a beautiful Devonshire tea were treated to the delights of singing duo Christina and Vincent, who entertained guests with tunes from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.
Meanwhile, in the Community Centre, the Blue Tone Jazz Band kept the toes tapping, and a lucky door prize saw one lucky resident go home with a beautiful hamper!
Outside, the roving magician made good use of the beautiful weather, entertaining and delighting residents, their families and guests of all ages.
The brand new outdoor entertaining area was put to use, producing a simple but delicious barbeque.
Residents and guests enjoyed the talents of the onsite caricature artist, browsed the beautiful craft stall and were educated with the woodworking display.
The village’s longest residing resident Jean Topliss, oldest male resident Jim McCredie and oldest female resident Phyl Clark were given the honour of cutting the cake, which honoured Aveo Roseville’s 30 year anniversary.
With so many reasons to celebrate, all in attendance agreed the Open Day was a huge success.
