There are many times throughout each day and each week where we question ourselves whether something we are implementing will work or not. This is definitely something that took place over the past few weeks as we launched “Aveo’s Got Talent” as a part of our Seniors Week Activities.

In a matter of seconds of the first Act commencing any doubts about its success were removed as a Zumba Performance from residents at Manly took stage to the age old classic tunes of YMCA. Over 125 residents gathered at Aveo The Domain Country Club to watch 7 excellent acts take part to be crowned our 2017 Aveo’s Got Talent Champion. There were choirs, harmonists, guitars, pianos and stand-up comedy as well to entertain the crowd.

This was followed by an exceptional morning tea supplied by Select Dining with much of the talk revolving around acts for next year and a special request that the Aveo Staff do a performance.

Congratulations to our winner “Grumpy Leo Bates” who kindly donated his $200 first prize to Project Pink. A special congratulations to the Mountain View Choir who had 16 people travel up from Murwillumbah and a big thank you to our Bayside Villages who had two buses travel down for the event.

The one stand out take away from the day was Aveo really does have Talent.
