Earlier this month, Aveo co-sponsored the 2015 Bob Williamson Fours Tournament at the Cheltenham Bowls Club in Melbourne. The Tournament is held in honor of Bob Williamson whose wife Norma is a resident of the Aveo Kingston Green retirement village. Bob worked tirelessly at the Cheltenham Bowls Club and is held in very high esteem. The Tournament is run in teams of four players, with each team playing three 13 end games. A total of 96 players took to the greens on the day, with representatives hailing from 15 different bowling clubs from across Melbourne. The prize for the first place team was $1,200, while the runners up took home $600 and there were cash prizes on offer for the best team in the three games. Aveo’s villages were well represented in the Tournament with participants hailing from Aveo Edrington Park, Aveo Concierge Bayside as well as Aveo Kingston Green. Current Australian Lawn Bowls Champion, Aaron Wilson and Victorian Ladies U18 squad member, Taylor Rose, also participated in the event. Aveo’s Victoria South Territory Operations Manager, Michael Morgan was on hand to draw the raffle prize and give a brief presentation about Aveo. The day was a huge success by all accounts with a great sense of camaraderie and an air of healthy competition.
