Aveo Peregian Springs Country Club residents Roger and Mary White, held a fundraiser in December, to raise vital funds for Wheelchairs for Kids. Selling a variety of Mary’s homemade produce including Christmas cakes, shortcake, sweet and savoury biscuits, chocolate truffles, marmalade, lemon curd, chutneys and pickles all gift wrapped, along with handmade Christmas cards and a four prize raffle of gifts donated by fellow residents, Mary and Roger White were able to raise $2,475 in just three days.

Wheelchairs for Kids is a project of the Rotary Club with a mission to provide wheelchairs to severely disabled children throughout under-resourced countries of the world. With the kind help of volunteers in combination with donations from individuals, businesses, clubs, schools and government bodies, approximately 3550 wheelchairs are produced each and every year and distributed worldwide to children in need.

The $2,475 raised will now provide funds to 12 wheelchairs for children in need.

A very big thank you to Mary and Roger White for your dedication, we are proud to have you as residents within our Aveo Peregian Springs Country Club community.
