Residents from Aveo Derwent Waters have had their exceptional efforts recognised by the Cancer Council after raising a whopping $2,185 during their annual Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. A representative from the Cancer Council called Village Manager, Steven Burdon, to personally thank him, the village staff, and village residents for their hard work. Aveo Derwent Waters was ranked 12th highest fund raiser in Tasmania for the event, which was attended by more than 50 guests including village staff, residents, and their friends and family. During the May 28, event residents had the pleasure of bidding for village staff who were offering an array of handy services from car washing and unit cleaning, to technology support, bringing in over $700. Tanya Oldfield was one of the lucky staff members who services where actioned off and whose hard work was testament to the day’s success.
