The residents of the Manors of Mosman retirement village in Sydney held a moving Anzac luncheon on April 25 to commemorate the Anzac Centenary. Mr John Dudley Holman L.C.D.R. R.A.N.R (Rtd), the 96 year old brother of Manors resident, Mrs Bett Cappiwood, attended the luncheon and wrote the following regarding his experience. “On behalf of my wife Barbara and myself I would like to express our appreciation of the honour extended to us attending the ANZAC Day luncheon held in the dining room at The Manors of Mosman. This event was hosted in memory of all those concerned in that great operation called ANZAC. “Those present were deeply moved by the occasion and the speech given by Ian Scotland (resident at The Manors of Mosman).  As a past serving officer, I personally wish to thank all concerned for the organisation and presentation of a fitting reminder of what we owe to the men and women of those years in helping to make our country what it is today.” Mr John Dudley Holman L.C.D.R. RAN.R. (Rtd)
