Anzac Day at Aveo Peregian Springs Country Club

The residents and staff at the Aveo Peregian Springs Country Club retirement village on the Sunshine Coast conducted its annual Anzac Day commemorative service at the village’s memorial stone at 10am on April 25. In a solemn but homely service, the MC, Commander Steve Hill RAN RHD was well supported by the Principal, Reverend Chris Ivey. Senior students from St Andrews Anglican College, Hayley Cahill and Abigail Bakhita also gave moving commemorative reflections while college captain, Tyler Keirman was faultless in his bugle renditions. 130 residents and guests attended the service and the spirit of the ANZACs certainly pervaded throughout the service on this special centenary occasion. A lovely morning tea was provided after the service which gave all who attended the chance to catch up and reminisce on the occasion with their family and friends.
