Hospice Care

Home / Retirement Living Options / Hospice Care

Hospice care, also known as palliative care, is a type of retirement care that focuses on the palliation of a chronically ill, terminally ill or seriously ill patient’s pain and symptoms, as well as their emotional and spiritual needs.

Similar to a hospice care, Aveo’s fully accredited Aged Care facilities provide high level care in private, comfortable rooms in a friendly, homely environment. We use the ACAS (Aged Care Assessment Service) model for all resident applications, and on welcoming a new resident into our community we undertake on-going comprehensive assessments so we can provide an individual, tailored care plan to meet specific needs in consultation with the resident and their family. Because everyone has different needs in aged care, our personal carers and staff are there to ensure all of our residents are attended to and feel comfortable and secure.

We provide:

  • Freshly prepared nourishing daily meals
  • Personal laundry services
  • Room cleaning and linen services.

Our caring and professional nurses and other highly qualified staff provide premium support and care services* in the following areas:

  • 24-hour call system and care staff
  • Continence management
  • Hearing, vision and dental services 
  • Medication management
  • Mobility assistance
  • Nursing services
  • Palliative care
  • Personal care, bathing and dressing
  • Physiotherapy
  • Visiting GP
  • Wound management

*Additional services are available within each aged care facility.
