Aveo Durack’s new Aged Care Home is officially open, following a wonderful community Open Day on Saturday 15 July.
We were delighted to welcome over 350 guests through our new facility on the day, and loved hearing the wonderful feedback. Our guests had the opportunity to tour through the new building for the first time, and to speak with our Aged Care and Health & Wellness specialists. While sounds of acoustic guitar music filled the space, delicious wine, cheese and other culinary treats were served. We also had the honour of Local Federal Member Milton Dick MP joining our event, touring through the building and greeting many of our guests.
Aveo Durack Aged Care Home provides 123 aged care beds, and includes a secure dementia wing that features a vibrant outdoor garden.
There are many beautiful community spaces for residents to enjoy including modern dining rooms, communal kitchen and lounge spaces, courtyards and a piano bar. The building will also feature an incredible live coral reef aquarium, which is one of the largest tanks made. There are various sizes of suites throughout, with several larger rooms to allow for loved ones to stay together.
An on-site GP, gymnasium and beauty salon allows for residents to be well cared for. With various care services and facilitates available on-site, resident’s care and support plans will be tailored to suit their individual needs.
With the opening of our new Aged Care Home, Aveo Durack retirement community now provides all levels of care in the one place. Following on from this successful day, we have welcomed our very first residents this week; a major milestone for Aveo and the Aveo Durack community. The whole team are very excited and are looking forward to settling in our new residents.
