Golden era for retirement dawns at Greater Springfield
Setting a new standard in retirement living, Australia’s largest master planned retirement community Aveo Springfield has officially opened it’s doors.
On Wednesday 31st May, the first building at Aveo Springfield was officially opened by the Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk MP and Aveo Group Chairman Mr Seng Huang Lee alongside Chief Executive Officer Geoff Grady. Distinguished guests included Maha Sinnathamby, Chairman of Springfield Land Corporation and Paul Pisasale, City of Ipswich Mayor.
A unique new concept in seniors living, Aveo Springfield will be an intergenerational precinct featuring a vast array of living options and services in the heart of Greater Springfield’s Health City.
Aveo Group Chief Executive Officer Geoff Grady said the completion of the first stage of independent living units and adjacent recreational park, named Jazz Park, represents a significant milestone for the innovative project. “Aveo Springfield is a unique master planned community that is setting new standards of excellence in seniors living and will be one of Australia’s leading retirement communities,” Mr Grady said.
“Our fully-integrated retirement village will offer all levels of care to meet the long-term needs of residents. The village will incorporate services accessible to the wider community such as a boutique childcare centre, wellness centre, shops and cafés, providing the opportunity for all generations to come together and spend time as a family.”
The 10ha project will ultimately comprise 2500 residences, providing a community within a community, allowing all generations of a family to live nearby within Greater Springfield. Forming part of Health City, the village is adjacent to the Mater Private Hospital Springfield, with local schools, golf club, parklands, and shopping, and dining precincts all in close proximity.
