Leading retirement provider Aveo Group has invested a further $20 million into its Cranbourne East community in Victoria, to meet the demand of seniors gravitating to the popular retirement region.

The latest stage of construction at Aveo Hunters Green, which features 25 two and three bedroom Independent Living Units priced from $410,000, is due to be completed this month. The final two stages are anticipated to be delivered in early 2019.

The development milestone comes after Cranbourne East was named the second fastest growing suburb in 2017* with recent ABS Census figures revealing a fifth of those living in the suburb are over the age of 65^.

The on-site community centre at Aveo Hunters Green boasts lounge areas, a billiard table, library and a hair and beauty salon. There is also a bowling green, BBQ area and men’s shed. Visiting health professionals ensure access to care and support services as and when required.

Aveo Group’s Executive General Manager Angela Buckley said the community, which is 45km southeast of Melbourne’s CBD, proved to be popular among the local seniors.

“Cranbourne East is considered a gateway to the Mornington Peninsula, so thanks to its prime location, our Aveo community is ideal for seniors wishing to spend their retirement in such a peaceful and relaxing environment,” Ms Buckley said.

“The wider community has really come of age and the original vision of the region as one of the state’s premier retirement locations has been achieved – Aveo Hunters Green has and will continue to grow with the local area.

“With all of our current units selling out, we’re seeing locals really embrace the community, and because care is at the heart of everything we do, our residents at Aveo Hunters Green benefit from exactly that.”

Brendan and Lerys Byrnes recently moved into Aveo Hunters Green and said the community’s location and lifestyle aspects were two of their favourite factors since becoming residents.

“We are really enjoying the environment and sense of community involvement,” Mr Byrnes said.

“We appreciate the excellent upkeep and layout of the building and gardens, as well as the proximity of shopping facilities, which makes it a pleasure to live here.”

Aveo Hunters Green is located at 2 Rochester Parade in Cranbourne East, an area known as the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula.

Hunt Club Village shopping centre is across the road and hosts tenants such as Woolworths, Aldi, Dan Murphy’s, retail and hospitality outlets, as well as a range of medical services including a doctor’s practice, dentist and chemist.
