Each year Aveo delivers more than 400,000 hours of care and support to our 13,000 residents, whether in retirement villages or in our Freedom Aged Care or Residential Aged Care communities. Providing access to a range of care and home services is at the heart of Aveo’s philosophy.
Aveo undertakes annual resident surveys to better understand their concerns about care and support. We know, for example, that people want to stay in their retirement homes for as long as possible.
We have listened to their feedback and we have responded. Aveo has invested in leading allied health providers, The Physio Co and Mobile Rehab, who have more than 20 years’ experience in providing specialist physio and rehab services for older Australians.

Their tailored services include strength training and conditioning, pain management, rehabilitation after an injury or an operation, and group classes such as hydrotherapy, Pilates and Thai Chi to promote strength and mobility. Our retirement villages also provide access to personal care attendants, nursing services and visiting GPs.
In addition, Aveo is introducing a new Health and Wellness program, including health care assessments, health and wellness consultations and assistance to access home care support services. Our goal is to promote good health and ensure that residents stay healthy and happy for longer.
For residents who need some help with daily tasks or a little extra care from time to time, Aveo offers in-home care in all our retirements villages in partnership with leading healthcare providers.

In 2016, we dramatically expanded Aveo’s care offer with the acquisition of Freedom Aged Care. Freedom provides supported living up to palliative care level, and offers residents continuity of lifestyle, choice and independence in a supported care environment.
Services offered by Freedom Aged Care are underpinned by a philosophy of wellness, promoting positive partnerships between residents, carers and clinical case managers to enhance independence and quality of life.
Aveo is also investing in state-of-the-art Residential Aged Care communities such as in Durack in Brisbane, and have a commitment to continue to provide more quality Aged Care services every year. These facilities set new standards aged care and cater for high care needs including a secure dementia wing and full respite care.
Providing safe, vibrant, welcoming communities with a choice of quality care services is part of Aveo’s commitment to the care and wellbeing of older Australians.
