Hawaiian themed dinner at Fernbank

Home / Community Life / Hawaiian themed dinner at Fernbank

Over 60 residents danced the night away at the Hawaiian themed dinner dance at Fernbank last month. The food was great, and everyone who was able to dance (including residents on walkers) enjoyed having a groove to the nostalgic tunes put on by Keff McCulloch, Fernbank’s favourite entertainer. In true Fernbank style, there was also a traditional conga line dinner dance!

A special mention goes out to Dr John Roger (featuring in the image above) who will be turning 102 next month. John put away his dancing shoes last Christmas; however he still loves to join the dinner dance evenings and is very fond of the music.

Residents enjoyed a wonderful night, and were very appreciative of the efforts made by staff volunteers who helped out and shared in the fun on the night at this warm and friendly community.
