Aveo Taringa residents donate knitted blankets

Home / Community Life / Aveo Taringa residents donate knitted blankets

A group of 7 keen knitters at Aveo Taringa have donated 47 rugs to the Red Cross and Salvation Army for those in need this winter.

The rugs were carefully hand-made by the ladies who meet regularly in the community centre.

Newly appointed Cr James Mackay attended the ceremony at Aveo Taringa where the blankets were handed over.

Cr James Mackay praised the generosity and hard work of the ladies, highlighting how the blankets would help a lot of women and children in need.

A great job by all the ladies for a good cause. Click here to learn more about Aveo Taringa.
