A generous group of ladies at Aveo Robina get together on the third Friday of every month, donating their time and money to knit beanies, gloves and other clothing for those in need. Started by resident Faye, the craft group often donate beanies to the oncology ward and babies at the Gold Coast Hospital. The wool used to knit the clothing is kindly donated by The Salvation Army, residents of Aveo Robina and also purchased by the craft group ladies.
In addition to knitting clothing for the hospital, the ladies also donate gloves and beanies to the troops in Afghanistan and give sheets to the local ladies refuge. We spoke with Faye about the generous efforts of the craft group; “I’d just like to say thank you to everyone who donates wool, in particular the Salvation Army”. A big thank you to the Aveo Robina craft group ladies and keep up all the great work.
