Gold Coast residents at Aveo Robina recently competed in a day of Commonwealth Games inspired activities. Residents competed in colour coordinated teams in the hopes of winning the gold medal. The day started with an opening ceremony and passing of the baton in the community centre. The first games of the day were volleyball, bean bag toss and table tennis. Aveo staff got creative with a javelin throw inspired game using pool noddles and hula hoops. Everyone enjoyed competing in carpet bowls, ten tin bowling, cup stacking and ring toss. After breaking for lunch the winners were presented with their medals in a closing ceremony. Well done to all who participated.
