At Aveo, Australia's leading seniors living provider, we have a newly created opportunity for a hands-on Cyber Security Architect based in our Brisbane office.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, you will be responsible for contributing towards technical risk management and works towards transforming and building 'secure by design' Technology and Digital systems.

The focus of role is to translate IT security policy/standards requirements into specific project requirements for solution design, develop secure solution designs and architecture that meet the privacy and security requirements. The role provides technical security guidance and advice to projects, infrastructure, service delivery, applications and cloud teams and contribute towards development and uplift of IT and Security strategy.

The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Implement secure architecture based on Zero trust principles.
  • Translate security requirements into secure architectures with supporting risk assessments
  • Author, propose and publish Technical Policies to support cybersecurity
  • Formulate and document high level and detailed security designs in accordance with project and security requirements.
  • Assess existing or proposed solution architecture design and implementation for compliance to technical security standards across
  • Provide review and consultation for Disaster recovery solutions and multiple site arrangements.
  • Provide technical advice in the development and implementation of IT and cyber security strategy and road map.
  • Support the selection of technologies and vendors through the assessment of proposed products and services
  • Ensure issues and escalations from staff are addressed in a timely fashion through effective follow up and tracking and communicated to relevant stakeholers

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Degree level qualifications in an IT related discipline
  • Industry Certifications (i.e. CISM , CISSP, ISSAP, TOGAF, GIAC)
  • A Subject Matter Expert for all matters related to cyber security architecture and security solutions in cloud, software, infrastructure, networking, IoT and Personal Emergency Response systems.
  • An outcome and delivery focussed cybersecurity professional with significant, demonstrable experience working in IT infrastructure, operations, and technology security/risk management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering and support principles
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure) architecture and best practice solutions.
  • Experience of helping to design, integrate and manage complex enterprise infrastructure solutions, covering both hardware & software solutions
  • Ability to build and maintain a proactive, client-centric orientation towards key stakeholders
  • Vendor and relationship management with key technology partners
  • Passionate and committed to a high work ethic and professional standard
