Personal Care Attendant

Aveo has a number of opportunities for Personal Care Attendants to join the team at Aveo Freedom Sandringham, VIC. 

Permanent part-time shifts available in the mornings, afternoons and evenings.

About the role:

As a Personal Carer, you will work as part of a team providing safe and effective personal care tailored to the resident's needs. This will include the support and assistance in activities of daily living such as mobility, showering, dressing and personal grooming, while ensuring the residents security, privacy and value to their culture and diversity. You will be responsible for delivering a kind, caring and respectful personal care that supports the residents' choice and independence.
It is essential that you actively contribute to the promotion of best practice in OH &S and continuous quality improvement, and promote the culture and philosophies of Aveo.

About you:
  • Certificate 3 in Aged Care or equivalent (required)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate (required)
  • Current Police Check clearance
  • Passionate Carer with excellent people & communication skills 
  • Trustworthy, reliable & enjoy working in a team environment 
  • Reliable, flexible approach to 24 hour rostering
  • Experience in retirement living or home and community care

Aveo are formally requesting that all employees be vaccinated against COVID-19 to protect our colleagues and the residents in our communities who are among the  most vulnerable.

All current employees are expected to have received their first vaccination by 1 Nov  2021 and their follow up vaccination by no later than 15 Dec 2021.

New employees joining the business will need to be comfortable with this requirement prior to joining Aveo.
