Freedom Bridge Street community staff take great pride in ensuring the community is a welcoming, safe and secure place to call home.
Hear from Gillian, daughter of Gladys, a resident at Freedom Bridge Street, about her experience with Freedom Toowoomba and how it provides a great place for her mum to call home.
‘My mother, who is 92, has been residing at Freedom for the past nine years and has her own one-bedroom self-contained villa, which allows her to be as independent as she wishes, whilst decorating the apartment to her own taste.
‘She has often had visitors and is able to prepare refreshments and entertain them in the comfort of her lounge and dining room. This, I believe, is really important for the residents, to be able to have a place they can call home with privacy to come and go as they please.
‘Several times I have extended my visit to an overnight stay and from experience I know that the staff are happy to accommodate these stays. During these visits, Freedom allow the guests to dine at the main dining facility at a nominal cost. The dining facility is also the venue of the happy hour that occurs daily for the residents.
‘The staff at Freedom present as professional and compassionate whilst treating the residents with the utmost respect.’
