This week, the staff and residents of the Aveo Glynde Lodge retirement village enjoyed a concert by the Police Band of South Australia as part of the annual Every Generation Festival.
65 people, including visitors from the local community, attended the event which was held in the Aveo Glynde Lodge community centre. It was a fun-filled afternoon of signing, reminiscing and laughter for all who attended, with the Police Band playing a range of classic songs. After the concert, those who attended were treated to a delicious afternoon tea featuring a variety of sweet and savoury favourites. Held from the 1st to the 31st of October, the Every Generation Festival brings together the South Australian community and aims to demonstrate that people, like anything worthwhile, improve with age and that their contributions to society are valuable, welcomed and essential.
During the month of October, events and activities are held for South Australians of all ages to come together to celebrate the achievements of older people.
