Outstanding Achiever Award Winner

Congratulations to Cholly Winter, this year’s winner of the Aveo Live Well Outstanding Achiever Award, presented by Justin Laboo at the event Gala Dinner held on 25th October.

Cholly received the award for her outstanding leadership in the Filipino community and beyond. For more than 30 years she has contributed her creativity to express and raise awareness for cancer research, rights and access to equity for women and promote mental health within the community.

Hosted at the InterContinental Adelaide, this positive event recognises all those who have been nominated for an award, honours the finalists and announces the winners of each of the 6 award categories. These awards highlight the importance of a positive ageing philosophy, together with acknowledging the many contributions of older individuals and organisations to our society.

This Gala Dinner attracts over 200 attendees each year, inspiring guests to make a difference in their community and celebrate positive aging.

The Every Generation Festival is an annual festival from 1st – 3st October held in South Australia. The festival brings together the community in a celebration of the important contribution seniors bring to our society. The events held throughout the month of October challenge the stereotypes of ageing and showcase the variety of interests and passions shared across the aged community.

Maintaining a positive approach to life, staying healthy and active and engaging fully in the community is an essential part of ageing. The Positive Ageing Awards call for nominations from the public to pay tribute to the people and programs in the community that are doing just that.
