Aveo Roseville residents win prize from COTA Victoria

Congratulations to the winnersOn Tuesday 8 November George and Audrey Smith received a welcome surprise at their friendly afternoon tea at Aveo Roseville in Doncaster East, where it was announced they had won the COTA / Aveo Live Well prize draw.

Sue Hendy, CEO of COTA (Council on the Ageing) Victoria presented Mr and Mrs Smith with their prize of a COTA mobile phone, a $100 gift card and 12 bottles of wine.

The prize draw is the culmination of the COTA / Aveo Live Well partnership which saw Aveo Live Well offer residents of its 75 retirement communities across Australia free membership to COTA.

Sue Hendy was also pleased to present a prize for the Residents Committee of the Aveo retirement community of Roseville, where George and Audrey reside, which included a mixed selection of 12 bottles of wine.

Recognising the value COTA offers seniors across Australia; Aveo Live Well developed a partnership with COTA to encourage its residents to participate in the Ambassador Card program which entitles COTA members to discounts for dining, shopping, groceries, petrol, wine, travel and entertainment.

Commencing in early 2011, Aveo Live Well began a program of presentations at each of its retirement villages, to inform residents of the role of COTA, the benefits of membership and how to get involved in its advocacy programs.
As part of this program, COTA offered a prize draw for residents and their respective retirement village who took up membership.

COTA are continuing to work with Aveo Live Well, currently delivering presentations to a number of Aveo’s retirement communities including Beyond Maturity Blues, Medicines and You and Effective Energy.

COTA is the peak body dedicated to representing the interests and fighting for better outcomes for older people in Victoria.
